Woman To Woman Courses

Woman to Woman Discipleship is the training portion of the Expository Counseling Center (ECC) that is specifically designed for women.  ECC seeks to provide online and onsite based training for women according to their specific needs. Through our Woman to Woman training, women around the world can be equipped and trained to function in a manner worthy of a Christian woman, while helping to develop ministries that will assist in the evangelism and discipleship of women abroad. The training is divided into 4 basic courses.  Each course is 14 weeks in length. Tuition is $350 per course.  These courses will not provide college credit hours, however if you are interested in receiving college credit towards a degree, you may also take these courses at the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas.

Program Breakdown

Course 1 God’s Role for Women in Life and Ministry (14 Weeks Tuition is $350)

This course will focus on the biblical design of a woman and the resulting effects for women. Specifically, this course will consist of a preliminary study of biblical womanhood while briefly emphasizing the role of women in the local church.  In addition, this course will examine the impact of feminist theology on the local church and its correlation to current trends of today.  Furthermore, this course will delve deeply into the concepts of egalitarianism and complementarianism theology. Course Goals and Objectives The student will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of particular aspects of biblical womanhood with emphasis on the role of women in the local church by:

•    Developing an ethical plan to live out her role as a woman and as a member of the local body of Christ;
•    Developing biblical parameters that will lead to unswerving and non-contradictory patterns and plans for a holistic approach to biblical womanhood;
•    Verbally explaining various practical skills for ministering these truths to other women.

Course 2 The Role of Women in Church Administration and Leadership (14 Weeks Tuition is $350)

This course will focus on the biblical design of a woman as it relates to her role as a leader in the local church or para/church arena.  Specifically, this course will consist of a preliminary study of biblically appropriate leadership positions for women in the church while simultaneously considering various personal leadership styles and biblical qualities female leaders should exhibit.  Furthermore, this course will examine the essence of how a woman should biblically function as a church staff member.

Course Goals and Objectives

The student will demonstrate understanding of the biblically appropriate areas of leadership for women in the church and/or para/church ministry, the process of administration, the skills needed to be effective in ministry administration, and the process of applying  basic administration skills.  Additionally, the student will demonstrate understanding of basic concepts and suggested procedures for functioning effectively on a church staff.  This will be accomplished by:

•    Developing biblical parameters for women to lead in the church or para/church ministry context;
•    Developing a personal theology of women’s leadership in the church;
•    Developing a personal strengths and weakness (in working with others) assessment;
•    Developing a personal code of ethics for their present church staff position or for a staff position of their choice
•    Verbally explaining various practical skills for ministering these truths to other women.

Course 3 Women’s Ministry Planning and Program Design (14 Weeks Tuition is $350)

This course will focus on the development of a women’s ministry in the context of the church and the administration of a women’s ministry.  Specifically, this course will examine the necessary aspects of developing a women’s ministry from the ground up.  Including focused areas of personal leadership development, developing the leadership potential of others, as well as understanding essential administrative skills necessary to carry out a woman-to-woman ministry in the local church.  Additionally, this course will heavily examine the importance of administration in church and para/church ministries in such areas as leading meetings, developing budgets, using time wisely, making decisions and delegating work, etc.  Furthermore, this course will examine the essence of how a woman should biblically function as a church staff member.

Course Goals and Objectives

The student will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the biblically appropriate areas of leadership for women in church ministry, how to develop leaders and/or leadership teams, and knowledge and understanding of the necessary administrative skills by:

•    Developing a 1 year growth plan for personal leadership development
•    Developing a ministry budget;
•    Developing methods of delegation and time management
•    Developing a personal time management plan of action;
•    Verbally explaining various practical skills for ministering these truths to other women.

Course 4 Woman to Woman Relationships in Ministry (14 Weeks Tuition is $350)

This course will focus on relationships in para-church or church ministries.  Specifically, this course will examine the biblical boundaries that are necessary when relating between persons in groups, and interacting amid groups in the performance of ministry.  Additionally, this course will extensively examine the significance of biblical integrity, proper communication skills, conflict management, personality styles, spiritual gifts and practical abilities.  In addition this course will examine how and when to confront a sister in Christ about a sin issue.

Course Goals and Objectives

The student will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of group dynamics in woman-to-woman relationships in ministry by:

•    Developing a plan of lifelong personal commitment to biblical integrity
•    Developing a plan to assess spiritual giftedness as well as personal abilities
•    Developing methods of relating to difficult people
•    Developing a plan to strengthen their communication and people skills
•    Developing a strategy to address conflict biblically
•    Verbally explaining various practical skills for ministering these truths to other women.
